Thakur Shobha Singh Govt. College, Pathalgaon
Pathalgaon is situated at the north-east of Chhattisgarh which is 103 kilometers from the Jashpur District HeadQuarter and from the west it is covered with hilly forest area and 3-4 kilometer far away from block Pathalgaon city , in the front of block office in Jashpur Road, in it’s own building our college Thakur Shobha Singh Government College is operated. This college is named after the Sub-Politician Shri Rampukar Singh’s Father name the honorable Thakur Shobha Singh Ji. In the recent time he is a M.L.A of this area.Pathalgaon in situated in the middle part. From here Raigarh is 113 kilometers far away from the north, and 90 kilometer far away from Ambikapur in the south and 104 kilometer far away from the east.
Madhya Pradesh Government appreciate the wishes of the native people and taken charge to provide a higher education facility and establish the college in year 1984. The decision of government to establish a college was a topic of joy and proud for the native people, and management decides to start the Arts and Commerce Subject first, but now with Arts, Commerce, Science subjects we are also teaching Continuously the post graduate level course like M.Com and Sociology.
The feelings of the native people are really appreciable. The Madhya Pradesh Government has Quickly arrange the primary requirements for the foundation of the building and inaugurate on 20 November 1996 by the honorable M.L.A Ram Pukar Singh and honorable Minister Shri. Nandkumar Ji Patel. Now a college has it’s own building. Here there is a facility of girls Hostel. This college is in Progress due to the guidelines of the principal and the native people and hope all the facilities will be available shortly.
Last year college has written a letter to P.W.D Department for the necessity and Problems. Like rooms for the staffs and the establishment of the first floor. And hope the government will solve our problem and helps us in the development of college .
